Transformation and energy retrofitting of a traditional Gascon house.

DESCRIPTION

At its acquisition, this 19th century house shows structural disorders due to land subsidence and to the humidity trapped at the base of the walls. These disorders are mainly consequent to post construction interventions that have not taken care of the "natural behaviour" of the building.

The mission consisted on the stabilization of the building, its energy retrofitting, the internal layout design, a dormer addition, and new timber decks addition. The whole is designed with respect to the original house character.
